University Funds

There are many sources of funding & financial support available to you. Options are available from the University, which can support you during your time at Emmanuel.

Cambridge Bursary Scheme

This Scheme is to enable all students to meet the living costs of studying at Cambridge, regardless of their background. It is available to students studying for their first undergraduate degree who are eligible for UK Government funding. Bursaries are offered as well as any government support received. They are offered up to £3,500 per year and are nonrepayable. Applications are assessed by household income, which can be up to £62,215. You are automatically considered when assessed by the student finance authority (you don't need to apply separately). Further details are available via the Cambridge Bursary Scheme website.

There is also an Educational Premium (£1,000 per year) offered by the University. This is as well as the Cambridge Bursary. It applies to students who have been eligible for free school meals (or equivalent status for mature students).

WP Scholarships

The University also offers Widening Participation Scholarships for students from the UK & EU. These include the Stormzy Scholarships and the Formula 1 Scholarship. They provide financial support to specific groups of UK students who are currently underrepresented within higher education. More information is on the WP Scholarships page.

Government Funding

Financial support from the Government is available to all students who are eligible by Home fee status. This is dependent on financial circumstances, and often geographical location. The University advises application for student finance as soon as possible. A confirmed place at university is not necessary before application. Find out more on the University’s Student Finance pages.
