Elsa – International Bridges to Justice
International Bridges to Justice is a legal rights NGO in Geneva, where I worked for a nine-week placement. IBJ works to reduce pre-trial detention, eradicate investigative torture and ensure that every detainee in the developing world has early access to legal counsel.
Library Extension & Refurbishment
When the new refurbished Library opened in 2012, the number of reader spaces increased from 60 to 138. The building is very popular and well used, and has grown considerably in size.

Writing this article in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, it might seem churlish to ask readers to focus their attention on another impending healthcare apocalypse. However, my academic research has applications in one such area: the growing worldwide problem of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
