Thomas Young Room

This historic & dignified room overlooks the pink-tinged Ketton stone of Front Court. Through its bright sash windows is the elegant Wren Chapel.

This room is named for an eighteenth century member of the College, Sir Thomas Young. He was known as "the last man who knew everything": a genuine polymath. He developed the wave theory of light, devised the Young modulus, & deciphered the Rosetta stone's hieroglyphs.

This intimate room is hung with portraits of College benefactors & historic Fellows. It can seat up to 10 people for intimate lunches & dinners.
