Emmanuel Society Culture Club - A visit to the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge

Members enjoyed the opportunity to visit Cambridge's Institute of Astronomy for a special guided tour and talk with Paul Fellows, Chair of the Cambridge Astronomical Association (1982). The guided visit comprised a tour of the historic buildings and telescope observatory, and a talk by Paul on the discovery of planets beyond the solar system. The clear evening provided the chance to look up at the night sky through the telescopes and to learn to navigate the constellations.
