The Book Club met in the Fellows' Breakfast Room, over dessert, to tease out questions about colour in regards to two books: The World According to Colour (Fox) and The Story of Black (Harvey).

It was fascinating to delve deep into colour with our fellow, John Harvey, who has concentrated intensely on black, but largely restricted himself to European visual art and literature since Classical times, and  James Fox, who has ranged over a palette of colours, the whole globe, science as well as aesthetics, and the aeons of time.
