Simon Lebus was Group Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment from 2002- 9. Cambridge Assessment (formerly known as the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) is a non-teaching department of the University and owns its three Exam Boards – OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations), Cambridge International Examinations and Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). The Group examines approximately 8 million candidates in 150 countries worldwide and is Europe’s largest assessment agency. Prior to joining Cambridge Assessment Simon worked both in investment banking and in industry. Simon is a graduate of St John’s College Oxford where he read Modern History.
