Robert Gardner Room
BackThis charming space is the classic college dining room, lined with portraits of historic members of the College. It is in the west–facing Essex Building which was constructed in the Classical Revival style in 1775, and is bathed in natural light from its eighteenth–century plate glass windows. Named for Dr Robert Gardner, the college Bursar between 1919–1960, it provides a timeless setting for private dinners or meetings.
The room features a striking contrast between its striped wallpaper and darker blue accents, providing a formal and sophisticated atmosphere. It can be set in various configurations for both meetings and dining, and can accommodate between 10 and 36 people.
