Herchel Smith Teaching and Research Fellowship in Medicine

Applications are invited for the Herchel Smith Teaching and Research Fellowship in Medicine tenable for five years from 1 October 2025.  Applicants will need to demonstrate excellence in their chosen field of research.  They will be required to pursue their own research and to teach 6 hours per week for the College.

The stipend will be between £36,804 and £38,555, depending on whether the postholder is pre- or post-PhD.  There will also be additional payments for undertaking supervisions which for 6 hours per week amounts to an additional £6,477.  There is an further stipend for directing studies as and when that role is held by the postholder.
