Emma Enterprise Rules

  1. The competition is open to any team of up to three students, post-docs, Research Fellows and alumni of whom at least one must be a past or present member of Emmanuel.
  2. Online tutorial sessions will be offered in the Michaelmas and Lent terms. These are open to all.
  3. A one-page proposal describing a business or social enterprise idea must be submitted by 5pm on 13th February 2024.
  4. Up to 6 teams will be shortlisted and each shortlisted team will be assigned a mentor who will provide advice on developing and pitching the business or social enterprise idea.
  5. The competition final will be held on 22nd April 2024. Each team will make a presentation lasting no more than 10 minutes followed by a 5-minute question/answer session. All slides used in the presentation must be submitted at least 24 hours beforehand. All team members must be present. The winning team will receive a cash prize of £2500 and two runner-up teams will each receive £250. The judges' decisions are final. There are no restrictions on the use of the prize-money.
