Support with Charity Work
Through the generosity of donors, Emmanuel supported ten undergraduates who wanted to work for charities during the summer of 2016. The projects were in places from Amman and Beijing to Wales and Zanzibar, and the students helped NGOs, taught English, worked on refugee and aid programmes, and led a children’s adventure camp.
In 2014–15, through the generosity of a Member, Emmanuel supported five undergraduates’ charitable works during the summer.
Emmanuel helped 17 students carry out charitable works in the summer of 2014, thanks to generous donations from Members. One of those was Daisy, who described her summer in the Emmanuel Review for 2015:
A donation to the College has enabled it to support students who wish to undertake charitable works during the Long Vacation and 11 students received grants in 2013.
