Entrepreneurs’ Workshop with Aimée O'Carroll (2003)
6:00pm – Online, via Zoom
This month, we'll be joined by Aimée O'Carroll (2003), Co-Founder of award-winning architecture studio GO'C. As always, this online session will provide a window into the journey of one of Emma's inspiring entrepreneurs. A Q&A will follow Aimée's presentation.
About the speaker
Aimée O’Carroll is an Architect living and working in Seattle Washington. Aimée co-founded the award winning firm GO'C in 2012 with Jon Gentry. The studio is inspired by the interplay of rational design and artistic expression. The enduring desire behind everything GO'C creates is to push the limits of what’s possible—in service to clients, communities, cultures, and landscapes.
GO'C has garnered widespread acclaim both nationally and internationally, with their work receiving extensive publication over the past decade. This recognition includes winning multiple awards for both custom residential and commercial projects, most notably winning the Emerging Firm of the Year Award in 2018.
Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Aimée completed her studies at the University of Cambridge and the Architectural Association in London. A one year stint at Rural Studio designing and building a house for $20k in rural Alabama created a passion for hands-on experiences and problem solving at all scales. Aimée is passionate about design as a collaborative process and enjoys finding opportunities in this process that blur the conventional perceptions of what we understand as architecture.
