Rosy Thornton read Law at Emmanuel (BA 1985, PhD 1989). She was a Fellow of New Hall from 1988 to 2004, has been a University Lecturer in the Faculty of Law since 1990 and re-joined Emmanuel as a Bye-Fellow in January 2006, becoming an Official Fellow in October 2007.

The areas in which she teaches and researches are: property law and trusts, landlord and tenant law, housing law and homelessness and women and the law.
