Emmanuel College Choir has made visits to many overseas locations in the last few years. Here are pictures from some of these tours:

Barcelona 2018

The choir visited Barcelona in July 2018. A highlight was two fantastic performances of the Howells Requiem given in both Barcelona Cathedral and La Sagrada Família. When not rehearsing and performing, there was opportunity to explore the city’s architecture, museums and beaches.

In July 2017, the choir spent a week performing in Poland. They sang twice for Sunday Mass as well as performing two sell-out concerts. There was plenty of time spent seeing the sights too, including the huge market square, ancient castle and famous salt mines.

In June 2016 the choir treated themselves to a week in sunny Munich, with a variety of concerts in monasteries, Anglican churches and cathedrals. There was the opportunity for some fantastic scenic hikes and swimming in a local lake.

In March 2015 the choir spent nine days travelling around Copenhagen, popping over to the cathedral in Malmo, Sweden, for one of the concerts.

USA 2014

On Friday 28th March, the Emmanuel Choir set out on their much-anticipated ten-day tour of the East Coast USA.

In March 2013 the choir spent a very cold but enjoyable week on tour in Prague.

Rome 2012

In March 2012 the choir travelled to Rome for a week. Musical highlights included singing in the magnificent basilicas of Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Maria sopra Minerva, and St Paul outside the Walls.

Thailand 2011

In 2011 the choir spent 10 days of the Easter vacation in Bangkok, Thailand. We were fortunate to be hosted by Shrewsbury International School, and enjoyed singing with their choir in the school's Spring Serenade concert, as well as talking to some of the sixth form students about life at Cambridge.
