Advice for Overseas Students
All electrical sockets in college rooms are plug type "G". If your equipment is fitted with a different plug-type then you will have to buy an adapter, commonly available at airports or travel shops.
NB: The voltage from the socket is 220V - 240V. If you have come from a country where the voltage supplied is different, for instance 110V, then please ensure that you change the setting on your appliance before plugging it in. This is commonly done using a switch near the power input on the equipment.
