Spyware has fast become the biggest problem facing users on our network. Most machines that we see have some spyware running on them.
Installing Spyware removal software and configuring it so that it remains up-to-date is a requirement of connecting a Windows-based PC to the college network. There are many Spyware removal packages available and if you already use one and it automatically updates then you do not need to do anything else. However, if you do not have one installed or if the one you do have proves inadequate, then we recommend:
Before you run the software, make sure that it is up to date. Once the scan is complete, remove any spyware entries that the software has found.
